Promotion Activities of the 134th Canton Fair Successfully Held in Thailand

From August 17 to 21, the delegation of China Foreign Trade Centre promoted the latest information of the Canton Fair in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, Thailand. They held promotion conferences and visited industrial and commercial institutions, government departments for trade promotion, large retail groups, cross-border e-commerce platforms and exhibition centers.

 

 

Promotion Conference of the 134th Canton Fair in Bangkok

 

The delegation successfully held the Promotion Conference of the 134th Canton Fair in Chiang Mai and Bangkok. Mr. Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, Mr. Yang Jiong, Acting Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Chiang Mai, Mr. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Mr. Sakchai Kunanuwatchaidet, Vice Governor of Chiang Mai, Mrs. Arada Fuangton, Deputy Director the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, Mr. Narongsak Putthapornmongkol, President of Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Phisit Jintawiwat, Chairman of Thai-Chinese Business Association of Chiang Mai, attended the conference and delivered speeches. Totally about 230 chain retail, import and export trade, manufacturing and business leaders, as well as regular Canton Fair buyers attended the event. All participants had heated and in-depth discussions on issues such as participation in the Canton Fair, global matchmaking, the Canton Fair online platform, travel services and so on. More than 150 new buyers logged in to the Canton Fair online platform to register for the Fair.

 

During the visit, the delegation met with the Department of International Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization, Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Thai-Chinese Business Association of Chiang Mai and the Federation of Thai Industry Northern Region, and signed a global partnership agreement with Thai-Chinese Business Association of Chiang Mai. They also paid a special visit to CP ALL under the leading retail enterprise Charoen Pokphand Group, Central Group, Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, IRISE and FLASH.
